Out of Touch

nosenuzzling:

Summary: Chris and Darren move to New York City when Darren gets a part on Broadway and Chris has a hard time adjusting as he attempts new things like bar tending and fung shui.

Rating: T

Pairing: crisscolfer

Word Count: 5000

Notes: Fluff. Just fluff basically, of what if Glee wasn’t renewed and Darren got a part on Broadway. Big thanks to Ramenda who basically walked me through writing the first part of this fic as if I was an old lady carrying groceries and she was a boy scout helping me across the street. Love ya, darlin! (Even though I didn’t have the last part beta’d, cause I got impatient about posting… *cough*)

——-

Chris likes to plan things, it’s as simple as that. He likes to know what’s going to happen if he takes option A or option B if whatever decision he makes is worth making and will benefit him in the long run. He likes to know what the next day will consist of. He likes to call and make reservations ahead of time to know they’ll get a table and will be able to eat. He likes to be certain. Because of this, Chris sometimes finds it difficult to trust. In general, people are very hard to predict, which means he has a hard time putting his trust in them and their abilities to plan accordingly. He thinks it’s probably because of his need to be in control, some sort of psychological personality trait that stems from his childhood growing up in Clovis. There’s just something about being in control of things that makes him feel more comfortable and at ease with everything.

Then Darren, who doesn’t plan or organize or even think ahead farther than a couple hours at the most, came along and somehow got Chris to trust in him and his unorganized way of living. He came bouncing into Chris’ life like a chaotic puppy, knocking things around, wreaking havoc, and completely sweeping Chris off his feet in the process.

(Sometimes he thinks Darren’s motto in life is, “I don’t know, whatever, man.” Or, more simply, “Fuck it.” Because if something doesn’t work the way Darren expected it to, he’ll wing it. Apparently, there are ways of getting things done, even without a perfectly thought through plan A and plan B. Though, when Chris thinks too long about Darren’s lack of planning he sometimes gets a twitch in his eye and questions for a bit why he’s dating such an incredibly ridiculous man.)

So, when Chris agreed to move to New York City with Darren, he really shouldn’t have been all that surprised to find out that he doesn’t actually know what will happen when they get there.

Blink

roblaine:

Chris didn’t notice the statues. But they noticed him.

Don’t blink.

Don’t even blink.

Blink, and you’re dead.

They’re fast, faster than you can believe.

Don’t turn your back, don’t look away, and don’t blink.

Chris didn’t know what had happened.

One second, he was chasing the neighborhood stray through some abandoned house (he had sort of adopted it as his own while he was back home for a visit), and the next…

The next thing he knew, he was standing in an empty field, feeling slightly dazed, but otherwise fine. He took a step forwards, stumbling a little.

kurtsies prompted: klaine drooling on each other while napping

dalton!klaine, pre-relationship. PG.

“God, I feel like we’ve been studying for hours. How long has it been now? At least two hours, right?”

“It’s been 28 minutes, Blaine,” Kurt says wryly, glancing up from his text book to where Blaine is fidgeting across the table from him. “You really don’t do study sessions often, do you?”

Blaine shrugs. “I never have a lot of time for them, what with the impromptu rehearsals and performances I have with the Warblers around school.”

“Well,” Kurt says, reaching across the table to pat Blaine’s arm, “we can get through the next few chapters together, alright? Then we can take a break before we tackle Chemistry.”

“Thanks, Kurt,” Blaine says, giving him a warm look that makes Kurt duck his head to hide his smile, his stomach fluttering in a way Kurt imagines it always will, as long as he’s around Blaine.

Hold the Wheel and Drive

tresbellemichelle:

Darren takes them to the PCH, aims north, and just starts driving.

[AO3] 2.2k

It’s not something planned.

It’s Darren texting Chris in the late afternoon, not even asking if he’s busy, just saying, “cancel your plans.” For once, Chris doesn’t really have any plans to cancel, and he’d sort of loved that. But it’s hard to say no to Darren—sometimes, it’s even impossible.

So Darren pulls up in front of his house in a car that Chris doesn’t recognize and he doesn’t answer any questions.

“Who’s car is this?” Is the first thing Chris wants to know, but Darren just shrugs and kind of smiles.

“A friend’s.”

“Where are we going?”

“You’ll see.”

“Is this a kidnapping?”

“Definite possibility.”

summary: set mulltiple years after the break-up. kurt and blaine have never interacted again and they meet again on one of blaine’s concert.
warnings: smut, rimming, top!blaine and fluff
word count: almost 5k

Blaine was stoked; he always was before one of his shows. The anticipation, the energy, the thrum of the rhythm in sync with his heartbeat, the crowd cheering, singing, dancing; it was like a drug to him, the thrill of people recognizing and appreciating him as an artist, he needed it, craved for it even, after seeking for approval for such a long time. The day he was finally discovered, in a shady bar in New York City, crooning old jazz songs, had felt like a new beginning. And it was.

He had signed a contract, got a manager, a publicist and recorded every song he had ever written in his old bedroom in Lima, Ohio.

Sure, he wasn’t very popular yet, but he loved his small fan base. Their joy and passion always blew him away.

He rubbed his hands together, trying to warm them up and bounced up and down, impatiently waiting for his permission to go on stage. Peeking through the door crack, his stomach swooped and he grinned excitedly. The crowd was so energetic already.

Someone tapped on his shoulder, and Blaine turned around, taking the guitar that he was offered and finally stepped on stage. The people went crazy, cheering, chanting his name and Blaine felt on top of the world. He loved the attention; he was a performer, after all.

They Don’t, They Do, They Will, They Can, They Did (Or, Five Times Kurt and Blaine Hooked Up at Weddings)

icedwhitemocha:

nc-17, ~1900 words. written for strangesilences as part of the klaine wedding minibang! a sort of canon-inspired au in which TBU never happened (because fuck that noise) and instead kurt and blaine maintained a successful long-distance relationship during blaine’s senior year of high school. contains rimming and sacrilegious behavior. :D?

01. They Don’t.

He knows it’s a little — okay, a lot — tacky to be fumbling with Blaine’s zipper in the backseat, sun streaming through the car windows as the guests make their way into the church. It’s true, wedding hookups are more or less de rigueur, as much a tradition as something old and something new, but he’s also aware that they usually come later, after hearts have been warmed by the vows and everything else has been warmed by a few rounds of champagne toasts. Probably pawing somewhat desperately at your boyfriend’s dick, eight minutes before your former teacher’s wedding ceremony is scheduled to begin, is a little outside the norm, but then again — he’s Kurt Hummel, he’s always been a trendsetter.

—————-

It was difficult to concentrate when Blaine had a gorgeous boyfriend in tight jeans. Blaine liked his classes for teaching him sign language. Kurt had offered to help as well. It was Saturday and the last thing Blaine really wanted to do was have a sign language lesson with his boyfriend. They should be cuddling or kissing or groping each other. They were alone for the time being, why waste it? Kurt pushed a notebook and pen toward Blaine, gesturing for him to write something.

That’s how it went.

Blaine would write something on the paper, Kurt would sign it and Blaine would mimic the movements. He was getting better at it.

Blaine wrote on the paper and pushed it back to Kurt.

You look incredibly sexy in those jeans.

Darren is sick and Chris just wants to go.

Crisscolfer, PG, fluff but if you think there’s something in it that might piss you off just don’t read it.

Darren doesn’t want to be here because he left a warm hotel room bed with a light blocking curtain and good headphones with soothing music and comfortable blankets and pillows and a bottle of the good kind of cough syrup and all of them are calling his name right now.

Chris doesn’t want to be here because… he just doesn’t. Because he’s over this, he’s over parading himself around for fans and scribbling autographs and cameras flashing in his eyes and the steady litany of Chris look this way Chris look at me Chris look here Chris one more picture. This Time Around, Kurt/Blaine, PG

slightestwind:

Takes place immediately after 4x22 ends. Blaine makes a proposal, but not the one we’re all thinking of.

“Kurt, do you mind— can I talk to you for a minute? In the hallway?”

Kurt turns slowly, his eyebrows furrowing a little in concern. “Is everything alright?”

“Yeah, I just— I want to tell you something before I forget. It’s kind of important,” Blaine adds with a nervous laugh, and he closes his fist tight around the box as they walk out into the hallway together, not stopping until Blaine reaches their spot at the end of the hallway, by the display case and the doors.

“What’s going on?” Kurt asks gently, and Blaine sucks in a shaky breath, holding the box between them and watching Kurt’s eyes widen when he sees it. “Blaine?” he asks, his voice high.
